Although the winds were testing, the rain held off, so the Queenscliff SLSC’s annual Charity Day, this time in our Centenary season, was a raging success.

Some of the numbers we achieve need to be seen to be believed.

The day involved:

• 148 registered players – necessitating us to plan for 3 groups off the first hole;
• 144 players greeted the 8.00am shotgun start – sadly a funeral tore Anchor Securities away from their 100% attendance record;
• 64 carts were on-course;
• Three Divisions in the Ambrose event were contested;
• 5 All Ladies teams registered – a record we hope to exceed each year;
• 5 foursomes walked the course – 3 of this teams were All Ladies
• 200 Hot Mustard Ham rolls were enjoyed on-course;
• 160 people sat down for lunch – which was truly impressive in quality from the LRGC Chefs;
• 8 Novelty golf prizes;
• 3 place prizes in each competition Division;
• 13 prizes in the on-course Mega Raffle;
• 4 Auction Items  – thanks to Cunninghams donating their All Mens Division prize to raffle; and
• At the end, we raised around $27K for the Queenscliff SLSC – AGAIN, THANK YOU.
