Queenscliff SLSC Board of Management is delighted to announce that Queenscliff Patrolling Member, Rich Wenden has been appointed as Queenscliff SLSC Chaplain. The Club Chaplaincy is a non-denominational Christian service to all members of the club and their families.
As the chaplain, Rich offers a confidential listening ear to anyone who wants to talk. This might include; patrol related incidents, competition related events, interpersonal conflict, spiritual questions and personal life events or difficulties. Rich moved from the Shire to the Northern Beaches in July 2020. He is the Senior Pastor at Seaforth Anglican Church. He has been involved in surf life saving since he was at school. First at Long Reef, then Freshwater. He joined Cronulla Surf Life Saving Club in 2011 where he was part of the Masters team. Rich also served as the honorary club Chaplain for 8 years as an accredited Sports Chaplain with SCA. He is a member of Patrol 12. Rich is married to Juliet and they have 3 kids who all love the beach and surf.
