As a competitor for Queenscliff SLSC the following is to remind you and clarify your commitment and understanding of the Club’s Policies.
The following information, agreements and forms must be followed and filled in for participation in competition and representation of Queenscliff SLSC.
We remind all Competitors of the following and also ensure that you have paid your competition fees in order for you to compete at any Carnival. To pay these fees you can pay via your SLSA Portal or Click Here (please put your name in the description of payment)
We also ask that you complete any documentation accompanying via links on this page and also for Parents/Guardians of U18s the letters as required.
Queenscliff SLSC takes an inclusive approach to all activities and therefore, should you need financial assistance please do not hesitate to send a confidential email to Kathryn at memberservices@queenscliffslsc.org.au as your club does not want you to miss out on being part of the competition team.
CODE OF CONDUCT
We ask again that you please take the time to read the current Queenscliff SLSC Code of Conduct documents and understand what the Club’s expectations are of you as a representative of Queenscliff SLSC.
Queenscliff SLSC is committed to providing a safe environment for all including children and young people and we cannot emphasise the importance of conducting yourself in an appropriate manner befitting the Club and SLSA expectations and reputation, any member who deviates from the Code of Conduct, will be dealt with immediately.

Please note all Under18 Competitors will need to sign and get their parent or guardian to acknowledge and agree to the Code of Conduct as well.
You do not need to put in your DOB please put in the date that you are agreeing to the Code of Conduct.
TOURING AND TRAINING
TOURING ACCOMMODATION LETTER:
For all competing members who are U18 we ask that parents/guardians complete the attached letter so that the club is aware of your details for the Australian Surf LIfe Saving Titles where overnight accommodation is required. Please return it to Carla in the office no later than COB 24th February 2023.
TRANSPORTATION FORM:
Surf Life Saving Australia now requires that the SLSA Transportation Approval form be completed by parents/guardians of U18s competing and training. This form is for transportation of their children by other members, parents, coaches. It is important that you notify your coach or team leader if your child is being picked up or dropped off by another parent or member.
PATROL POLICY
- Active members must complete 25 patrol hours on their allocated / rostered patrol
- Active reserve members must complete 12 patrol hours on their allocated / rostered patrol.
- Long service and life members that compete must complete 8 patrol hours on their allocated / rostered patrol
Members that have dual club membership that compete for Queenscliff are required to perform a minimum of 10 hours of volunteer service for Queeensliff to be eligible to compete. As Queenscliff is hosting the State carnival for the next few seasons, this service will only be for State carnivals hosted by Queenscliff.
If you are not currently allocated to a patrol. Can you please let Carla in the office know what patrol you would like to be allocated to? Alternatively, we can allocate you to a patrol that requires additional support. We would like to do this as soon as possible so that your hours can be counted for competition. Please note: All competitors must be on a rostered patrol, SLSA no longer allows roving patrol status
