IRB

The IRB is considered the most valuable piece of lifesaving equipment we have and being located on one of Australia`s most iconic and populated beaches, our IRB is often the first choice of rescue gear our members use due to its reliability and swift response to incidents.

Primarily used for lifesaving, our IRB also doubles up as a competition craft which soul purpose is to improve the skills of our members for real rescue situations.

The Queenscliff IRB team are quite the force to be reckoned with, being the 2019 Open Male Mass Rescue Australian Champions and the 2019 over 35`s Male Rescue Champions no to mention some of Australia`s best Female crews.

In a rescue situation, the average response time for our IRB crews is .45 seconds from the sand to the water.
