I’d like to thank all our club members for your patience and tolerance as we grapple with all the implications of the Coronavirus pandemic.

As a result of COVID-19, the Education Team took the necessary precautionary steps to suspend all training courses to reduce the risk of exposure to our members. These steps were in place to ensure the continued safety and well-being for all our candidates and trainers.  Although a difficult decision at the time, it has proven we made the right decision, given the government restrictions of isolation that is currently in place.

I am equally conscious of the impact this is having through our community and our lives. Now more than ever we need to focus on wellbeing. We could be in this for a significantly long period of disruption and care for self and each other is paramount. If at any stage you are feeling anxious or concerned, please seek assistance from your medial practitioner or services such as Beyond Blue 1300 224636 or Lifeline 131114.

SLSA has created a learning awareness course on COVID-19 What It Is, How to Prevent Spread.  It is available for free on the SLSA learning management system for all members from 10 years onwards. You can access the course through eLearning by logging into SLSA Members Area or CLICK HERE.

Rest assured, our club and all our educational courses will be up running again soon, and we will be looking forward to seeing you back and recommencing where we left off.
