On 23 March Adrian Halliday and Andrew Selosse volunteered to take one of our IRB’s to Western Sydney to provide support in the flood event that was occurring on behalf of Queenscliff.  They were briefed at St Ives Showground before heading out and gave their support to the SES, Fire, Police and ambulance to help ensure residents were evacuated.

Adrian and Andrew traded their typical work day to support the Western Sydney community on that day which was amazing support for those that needed them off the beach.

Adrian has been a member of Queenscliff since 2008, is an active patrolling member and Competitor in our Masters Water Team and our IRB race team.

Andrew has been a member of Queenscliff since 2014 and been involved in Surf Life Saving since 1998.  He is a long service member and is also a member of our IRB racing team since 2014.

They are our volunteers of the month and we are proud they wear our red and yellow.
